Description

Explore this meaningful and poetic children’s book with your family!

With her bright yellow jacket, a little girl bravely takes on one of the most difficult tasks in the world: finding out who she is. Poetically, she un-identifies with her anxious thoughts, eliminating them one by one, but never getting closer to her answer. Acceptance of never knowing finally makes her think, maybe, who she is isn’t something she can know, but rather, it’s something she can show.

The little girl remains nameless and faceless throughout the story to better help audiences understand that titles and physical features don’t tell us who we are. Who we are is something much bigger, much deeper, and much more meaningful. By examining our thoughts and our actions, we begin to feel, and show to others, who we really are. Order now!

Samara has been an artist and writer since she was a little girl. First learning to draw from her mother, she grew up excelling in art class, advanced to AP art in high school, and majored in writing and photography at Endicott College in Massachusetts. Now residing in Los Angeles, she spends her time combining all of her training to create a range of pieces from multimedia drawings, paintings, poems, books, screenwriting, and graphic design.

She was inspired to create a children’s book from her time as a nanny. She owes this book, and the many more to come, to all her nanny children. Without them, she wouldn’t have uncovered this part of herself.

She just might listen.
